SUSTAINABILITY

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSABILITY

All of our production processes are specifically designed and executed to reduce our environmental footprint and energy consumption. We focus on the most efficient machinery and the most environmentally friendly processes.

For that we installed photovoltaic panels in a large part of our industrial area with the goal to increase the number of panels in the next year, changed our fleet to electric cars and plug-in hybrids and work with steamline systems to reduce the electricity consumption.
Our next step is to install energy accumulators in order to make use of all the energy generated, without any kind of waste, so that there is a constant and efficient line of work.

SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

People have always been the essence of everything that ECOVEST does.
Encourage fair labor practices and safe working conditions throughout the ECOVEST group is our strong concern.
Corporate social and environmental responsibility is the result of civil society’s demand for better consideration of the impact of business activities on its customers, employees, local communities and the environment. Companies committed to this goal also agree to respect international human rights and labor standards.

That’s what we do to ensure that our products are developed with decent standards of labor and fairness, safety and legality throughout our chain. Throughout our history, we have strived to improve the well-being of our employees and the communities that host us. The good climate at ECOVEST is the result of having a team with human quality, motivated, flexible and capable of adapting to changes in the context of the company’s significant growth.
Our initiatives include workplace gymnastics programs, support for various social institutions and transportation for employees, among many others.

RECYCLING

We want to ensure that the amount of waste generated is reduced and we strive to ensure that all waste created is reused, recycled or recovered.

At the moment, in order to avoid wasting materials, we have an agreement with Rduz and Valérius 360, so that the remaining materials from productions can be recycled and reused for other purposes.

Our employees also participate in ongoing training and awareness-raising actions on the importance of correct waste separation and sustainable behavior.

INCENTIVE PROJECT

The fight against climate change and resource scarcity urgently requires concerted action from everyone. This energy transition and decarbonization strategy, implemented at company level, is increasingly becoming a competitive advantage in the way companies operate and position themselves in the market.

To contribute to this new, sustainable, innovative and decarbonizing energy paradigm, ECOVEST, with the support of the PRR, has taken a series of measures aimed at increasing energy efficiency and reducing energy costs.

This incentive project will help reduce the company’s electricity costs and CO2 emissions, thus increasing the company’s energy autonomy and giving greater importance to its ecological footprint.

This project includes an investment in a technological solution for producing renewable energy through photovoltaics, an electric steam boiler, an electric vertical warehouse and the change of the fleet to electric cars.

The standard was developed through work carried out by the Materials Traceability Working Group, part of the OIA’s Sustainability Working Group.
